Over five decades Mary Griggs Burke assembled one of the finest private collections of Asian art, including the largest collection of Japanese art outside of Japan.

The Burke Foundation produced a two-volume catalogue of the entire collection before it was to be gifted to various institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

I was asked to create a website that would serve as an online counterpart to the catalogue, and would make use of the web to provide features not available in the printed book, such as multi-faceted browsing and searching capabilities, high-resolution image details, and interactive bibliographies.
